The plea to Ukrainian authorities about Königsberg.

It is desirable for Ukraine to officially abandon name “ Kaliningrad” in favor of Königsberg. Mikhail Kalinin was responsible for the Holodomor ( genocide of Ukrainians) in Ukraine and it is not necessary to praise Kalinin even in the names of settlements, especially at Ukrainian maps. The name Kalinin (Kaliningrad) should not be familiar to the Ukrainian ear. This is what the propaganda of the Soviet regime sought is to make their Soviet names common among the people, so the new generations will be consider Soviet names as their own native. There is no financial expenditure for Ukraine and the maps right now not to be redrawn immediately with a new names. We do understand that Ukraine has a lot of problems, it is only the official statement about Königsberg is needed from the Ukrainian side. This is necessary first of all for the Ukrainian authorities themselves. Is it a part of Ukraine's goal to glorify the people responsible for the Holodomor? No, of course! The Ukraine can change the names of cities around the world on its maps, this is an internal matter of Ukraine. Lithuania, for example, officially calls the city as Karaliaučius, not Kaliningrad.
We want to remind the words of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, that Ukraine must complete decommunization because it is a matter of national security of the country. Historically, the Ukrainians called the city as Königsberg or Krolevets (as Poles and the Czechs).

"Rondo Kaliningrad' in Elbląg.

The Polish newspaper about strange place in Poland called "Rondo Kaliningrad' in Elbląg.The Polish authorities paying respect to Kalinin, the man responsible for killing Polish officers and solders ( Katyn massacre). Only after the petition of our friends from Königsberg, the Polish starting paying attention to their own History and nonsense with "Rondo Kaliningrad'.
А year ago Ministry of Defense of Poland replied to our letter about renaming
"Rondo Kaliningrad' in Elbląg. Their answer was strange, they wrote, that they not responsible for toponymy in Poland. Basically saying, that they do not care about their grandfathers Polish officers killed by Kalinin and Soviet regime.

The Preußische Allgemeine Zeitung about "Rondo Kaliningrad'.

The new governor of so called "Kaliningrad" region.

On the photo: Putin and a newly appointed ( by him) governors of "Kaliningrad" and Tula regions.  They were his bodyguards. The new governor of so called "Kaliningrad region" is Eugeny Zinchev. Soviet criminal Kalinin and Poland.

All road signs with "Kaliningrad" should be removed or changed for Królewiec ( Königsberg). The Polish historical name of the city is Królewiec . The Communistic regime did change the old city name to "honour" Soviet criminal Mikhail Kalinin. Kalinin was responsible for Katyn massacre, partition of Poland with Hitler, Soviet aggression of 1920 and other crimes against Poland. It is totally unacceptable, that Kalinin still named at the streets and maps of Poland. Those signs mostly in Pomeranian and Warmian-Masurian voievodeships. There is a place in Elbląg called "Kaliningrad rondo". Could you pleace, clean up the streets of Poland from "Kalinin". All the best to Poland. Sincerely yours Rustam Vasilev The letter sent to President of Poland, Polish Army, governors of Pomeranian and Warmian-Masurian voievodeships.
